Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how cookies and similar technologies are used by Ad.Guru and by the advertising served through our monetization service. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by websites you visit. Similar technologies include pixels, web beacons, local storage and device identifiers in apps. They are widely used to make services work, measure them, and deliver advertising.
2. Cookies on this website
The Ad.Guru website itself is informational and a contact point for publishers. It uses only strictly necessary technology required for the site to function and to be delivered securely (for example, by our hosting and content-delivery provider). We do not set analytics or advertising cookies on this website, and the contact form does not set tracking cookies.
3. Advertising cookies in our monetization service
When a publisher monetizes a website or app with Ad.Guru, ads are served primarily through Google Ad Exchange and Open Bidding. Google and other demand partners may set and read cookies or use similar identifiers on visitors' devices to:
- Serve ads, including ads based on a visitor's prior visits to that publisher's property or other sites (personalized advertising);
- Limit how often the same ad is shown (frequency capping);
- Measure ad performance, detect invalid activity and prevent fraud;
- Remember preferences, such as opting out of personalized ads.
Google's practices are described in How Google uses cookies in advertising and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
4. Your choices
- Google Ads Settings: manage or turn off ad personalization at google.com/settings/ads;
- Industry opt-outs: aboutads.info/choices (and youronlinechoices.eu in Europe);
- Browser controls: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; blocking some cookies may affect how ads are delivered and measured but will not stop advertising;
- Consent choices: on properties serving users in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, use the consent options presented by the publisher's consent management platform to accept or reject personalized advertising.
5. Publishers' responsibilities
Publishers using Ad.Guru must disclose the practices described in this policy in their own privacy policies and obtain consent where required, as set out in our Publisher Policy.
6. Changes and contact
We may update this policy from time to time; material changes will be posted here with a new "last updated" date. Questions: [email protected].
